I used my Facebook status updates to create this image.
This free resource lets you create word clouds. The more frequently a word is used, the larger it is in the word cloud. This creates a great visual graphic for text, and you can adjust the font and layout to find the most pleasing version of your word text.
To create a word cloud, you just copy and paste the text into the “create” application. From there, you can edit the font and layout. Once you find a version you like, you can “print screen” to capture the image.
This would be a great way for students to see how frequently they use certain words in their text.
