eBay declared me vintage!

ebay-copySometimes it is hard to deny the sands of time are passing faster than I am willing to admit. Things happen and you expect them even when you want to deny them. They are the usual signs of the passing of time:

  • your children going to school
  • your children going through puberty
  • the first gray hair on your head
  • when the gray begins to appear so much you can no longer count the individual hair
  • lines on your face that refuse to go away (aka wrinkles)
  • and the invitation in the mail to your high school’s 20th class reunion
  • Those are expected signs of age and time passing, and while some are annoying (gray hair and wrinkles), some are pretty cool (kids and reunions), but I never expected this one –

My senior class t-shirt is being sold on eBay. This shirt has the signature of everyone in my graduating class, and you can even find my signature in the top left corner of the shirt. sig2-copy (Click for larger picture.)

This has the potential of being kind of cool. As my friend Deb noted, our signature is being sold on eBay! We didn’t think this would happen until we were famous. Could we be famous and not realize it? Did someone else in our class reach famous status?

Alas, fame had nothing to do with it. Apparently, the shirt is “vintage” and therefore cool.

And the real kick in the butt is the shirt has aged better than I did.
