It is spring time in northern Michigan, which means my life has undergone a major shift — I am no longer home in the evenings because I am off at running at various baseball and softball fields. The Little League season has began.
It started slowly. Justin’s first practice was Friday, and we went. We had not yet heard from the girls’ coaches. On Saturday, we learned Autumn had practice on Sunday. On Sunday around noon, we learned Maxine and Amanda would have practice at 2 p.m. I spent most of Sunday afternoon.
Today, Autumn and Amanda have track practice. Tomorrow, Autumn and Amanda have a track meet, Justin has practice at 7 p.m. and Maxine (and Amanda) have practice at 7 p.m. There goes Tuesday night.
Wednesday, Autumn has practice. Thursday is a school dance for Autumn and Amanda while Friday sees a track meet for Amanda and Autumn and practice for Justin. Autumn has another Sunday practice. Realize too, that these practices do not happen at the same place.
Plus it is the second to last week of the spring semester. Finals are next week, so I am doing a lot of grading and reviewing of papers. Today, one of my classes is turning in their research paper. It shall be a fun week.
