What chew talking about Willis?*

In less than four hours, Shutdown Day begins. What is Shutdown Day you ask? Apparently it is a "global experiment." Or a guilt trip to make you shut off your computer for 24 hours.

I will not be participating in Shutdown Day. Ialso don’t participate in TV Turn Off Week, which is April 23-29 this year.

Can I survive 24 hours without my computer? Yes. I do it frequently, although a few years ago it was harder. I try to limit my time on the computer during the weekends, but sometimes I just have stuff that needs to be done.

In fact, now the coffee is the first thing I turn on rather than my computer.

In fact, as I write this, I must admit Steve jas been hassling me becaue I’ve been on the computer since before he came home. I was doing work that is due tomorrow morning before 8 a.m. So, I have no other option. Well, besides not sleeping tonight.

If I wanted to (and didn’t have deadlines) I could so do the no computer thing for 24 hours. I even go for days without watching TV. But I’m not going to do it tomorrow. I will, however, log off tonight.

The title of this blog comes from the "signature saying" of Gary Coleman when he played Arnold on Different Strokes. Willis was his brother. (And no, I didn’t fact check any of this, so I could have Gary Coleman and/or Arnold wrong, but I’m 95 percent sure I’m OK.

nothing to say

Hey, I thought I’d post before lunch so my sister Kari would have something to read, but I have nothing to say.

The opthamologist checked out Autumn’s eye, and she is good to go. Minor scratch. Eye drops. No contacts for a week.

i made it home from CMU just fine last night despite really bad fog. I drove slow. At least it wasn’t icy out.

Oh wait, I realized the other day I haven’t provided a recent update on my weight loss progress. There hasn’t been any progress. I’ve lost 14 pounds since the new year. I haven’t lost anything recently, but I haven’t gained either. It would help if I started exercising again. I had been exercising at Kirtland, but lately I’ve been doing work while at Kirtland, so I haven’t made time to exercise.

I am looking forward to the warm weather so I can walk first thing in the morning from home. That seems to be the most effective work out for me. I like starting my day with that morning walk, especially when Steve comes along. It’s just nice. The weather is supposed to be in the 60s by Sunday, so I should be able to start doing this again.

Off to start my day. Toodles.
