I got my buck this year. It was at least a 6 point, although I think it was an 8 point. I’m not sure because I didn’t stop and check him out after he decided to run into the side of my van when I was driving down US 127 at 70 miles per hour.
He ran into my van, just in front of my driver’s side mirror. Then he bounced off my van down the side. There’s minor damage to my van. I’m not sure if the deer lived. It was dark and it was a highway and there was traffic so I didn’ t try to find him. I did pull over to make sure my car was OK. It looked OK until I saw it in the ight at home.
The deer had a nice rack. I got a good look at it just before it ran into me. I didn’t swerve or slam on my breaks. It wouldn’t have done any good and there was traffic around me.
I have to go report the accident today. Silly deer.
There was a time when I frequently hit deer, but until yesterday I hadn’ t hit one since I was pregnant with Justin way back in November 1998. I totaled my vehicle on that one. It was also a big buck and it’s antlers hang in our garage next to deer Steve’s taken. Only his say things like "Steve Nov. 15 30/06" or "Steve Nov. 25 compound bow." And under my antlers it says "Linda, 1994 Tempo." It’s just not the same. Hopefully, this deer isn’t the start of a new trend again.

This is really turning into one of those “truth is stranger than fiction” things. How many does this make now, that you’ve brought down by auto? Three? Maybe it’s a vibe you’re sending out?
Must have been a deer conspiracy against GHS grads yesterday because I hit a deer too!! Wow!! OR maybe it was a conspiracy against hot chicks…yeah, baby! LOL
